Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Her mother raised her in the USA in a place where she endured several racial stereotypes, which made her feel like a non-person. It was during her ninth grade that she gained confidence after being highly praised at an audition. Not only did she gain confidence through the audition and gained experience, but also changed her the direction of her career. The 22-year-old earned a degree from the Julliard School in New York. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was titled You've got Mail. In the Broadway first production of Spamalot, she played The Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. She gained more recognition when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. In addition to being a popular singer, she has released two solo albums and a longer piece. She is also an activist who is active to promote LGBT rights.
